Solid oak rustic farmhouse table by Antix of France

Antix furniture is made from solid French oak that was specially selected for its rustic character and grain, retaining the natural knots, splits and grain variation so that each piece is unique. The oak was then further distressed by hand for an aged appearance.

It is 100% solid French rustic oak, with an aged and distressed finish to add to the rustic character. Please see close up photos showing this type of finish.

Very nice quality, with pegged joints used in the top panels and frame.

 

It comes with 2 extension pieces, giving 3 different size options up to 2.6m (8ft 6in) and seating up to 10 when fully extended. The extensions do not store within the table. There is a useful drawer on 1 side.

 

The original finish was worn, so it has been refurbished and updated. The top has been finished in a natural oil and wax to protect and bring out the lovely natural features and grain variation of the rustic oak, to contrast with the frame and legs which are finished in 'Salt of the Earth' from the Frenchic furniture paint range.

 

The top can be removed for transport or access if needed, but the legs and frame do not come apart.
